Winchester 1894 SRC .30 WCF s/n 1025460 mfg 1927 – 20” model 1895 round barrel with rifle-style magazine tube retaining band; full mag; graduated leaf carbine-style rear and forged base pinned blade front sights; straight grain walnut stocks. Receiver retains 95% original blue thinning at the edges; hammer and lever retain strong blue coverage; barrel and mag are in very good condition with 95%+ blue; stocks are in excellent condition; mechanics are crisp; bore is like new. This carbine is one of very few made with a Model 1895 barrel/front sight and a rifle-style magazine tube retaining band. The installation of a standard 1894 dovetailed rear sight necessitated the factory to weld the original 1895 screw holes, which traces of this work are visible in the area between the rear sight and barrel band. |
